bau 96: Apocalypse

After 9 years at our current location, bau Gallery (Beacon Artist Union), is moving to a new and larger location and expanding it’s programming and art community outreach to 506 Main Street in Beacon, NY beginning Dec. 8th. 2012. Our new location is across the street from Electric Windows near The Round House on the east end of Main Street.

For our first Exhibition in our new location we explore “Apocalypse” A National Open Call. We asked artists to respond to the theme “Apocalypse” in response to the 5000-year-old Mayan Calendar ending on Dec. 21st. 2012.¬†

Religions, Science, Pseudoscience and Prophesy offer endless scenarios of Apocalypse, End Times or the dawn of a New Age of Enlightenment. What will we wake to the following morning? Chaos?

Zombies? Hell? Heaven? Nothingness? Come see the selected artists visions.
