Kirsten Lyon: Heavens


Kirsten Lyon is a native to the Hudson Valley. Her work explores forms that relate to nature or science. She attended Alfred University for undergraduate studies where she explored a variety of media and focused mainly on ceramic arts. She also has a Masters in Studio Arts from SUNY New Paltz. She has been a studio manager at the Barrett Clay works in Poughkeepsie, and she now works as the Ceramics Technician at Center for the Arts in White Plains.

Currently Lyon has a home studio in Marlboro, NY, where she creates her artwork and offers private ceramics lessons.

Dave Rollins: Primarily Color

Dave Rollins studied metal smithing and sculpture at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs. He then recieved his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It was at Cranbrook, still studying metal smithing, that he discovered his intense love of color. Rollins is a self-taught machinist and makes all of the work by hand – no computers or CNC technologies. Currently he lives and works here in the Hudson Valley.
