Peep Show: Members Show

Peep Show is an exhibition of pictures, objects or people viewed through holes. Though historically a peep show was a form of entertainment provided by wandering showmen, nowadays it more commonly refers to a presentation that is seen through a viewing slot.

Johnny Thornton: Sleepers

In a city as fast-paced and crowded as New York, it is difficult to find a moment of rest outside of home. Residents are often forced to live out private moments in front of other people. This is perhaps most true in the confines of subway cars, a place where many take advantage of the fleeting respite and find themselves able to sleep through talking, announcements, and the screeching of trains down the tracks. The Sleepers paintings depict the commonplace moments that encapsulate both a personal and public experience between destinations on the New York City subway system.
