Carla Goldberg is originally from Palm Springs, CA but has called New York and the Hudson Valley her home since 1991. Carla is a full-time professional Mixed-Media Fine Artist, and independent curator. Carla has shown in over 300 solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally in museums, universities and galleries including The Tabernacle, MoMA Wales, The Brooklyn Waterfront Museum and the Dolmabahce Palace Istanbul, Turkey. She has exhibited with numerous NYC galleries and is represented by Kunstleben Gallery in Berlin, Chase Edwards Fine Art in Bridgehampton, Alida Anderson Projects in Washington, D.C., BeaconArt in Stone Harbor and a collection of work with Denise Bibro Fine Art NYC, Brenda Taylor Projects Boston and Joan McLoughlin Gallery in San Francisco.

Carla’s sculptural paintings and drawings have been called “Liquid Rhythm”. The textural resin pourings, drawings and painted layers bring to mind dreamy memories of water in moments of movement. Her drawings and paintings become sculpture as light and shadow pass through the acrylic panels throwing light and shadow on the wall behind giving the work deep dimensionality. Her art is an experience in person.

Carla’s works can also be found permanently installed in numerous hospitality venues including a 21’ foot triptych for the lobby of the Marriott Marquis Waikiki Beach, a private apartment at the historic “The Breakers” in Palm Beach, in the Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati and three giant glass walls for the outdoor solarium on the world’s largest passenger cruise ship Royal Caribbean’s “Harmony Of The Seas. She is the winner of the 2014 Connecticut “SeaGrant”, a partnership between the University of Connecticut and the nation’s primary ocean agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
